ICO And IDO

A new phenomenon is appearing online on every website that is related to Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. This is called Initial Coin Offering (ICO). These days, ICOs are an issue of discussion over the Internet.

ICO is used to replace crowdfunding in order to issue the first cryptocurrency. The money is raised by crowd-funding for any cryptocurrency currency, the company gives an incentive to its investors who have assisted the company raises funds instead of sharing shares in the business. The token is used by the investor however they wish.

The investor is able to sell the token, which is issued by the company to anyone. You can also keep it in your possession and then wait for its value to rise. It is possible to use this token to purchase bitcoins with bitcoin, Ethereum, or other cryptocurrencies. They can be used anywhere.

What is the reason ICOs are being used?

Every time a new company has established the process of creating a product; it has to find a way to raise funds for its product. The first step is to raise funds by distributing shares to investors, and then raise money through using (loan) at any financial institution. In this stage, the business must also pay the bank for interest and the final option is to accept the order prior to making the product, and deposit the money from it in order to manufacture and market the product. ICO is among the most effective and simple methods for a business or an individual to raise money to fund their projects, and at the same time, not just businesses but individuals also contribute to the project.

If a company needs to raise funds for its venture or start-up, it is necessary to use ICO (Initial Coin Offering). Simply put, the method of raising money for the company’s product via crowdfunding takes place via ICO.

Companie’s Whitepaper

If a company that is a cryptocurrency startup seeks to raise money through ICO the company creates plans prior to raising funds. The company writes all details related to the project in the whitepaper. It is stated that the amount of money that will be spent on the project and how much funds the company will need? What is the time frame for the firm to raise funds? What will the duration of this ICO campaign run? What will happen if the increase is less than the expected amount? The entire information is printed on the whitepaper. The whitepaper is a crucial document of ICO.

Investors are more inclined to purchase Cryptocurrency at lower prices during ICO since equity isn’t included in the majority of ICO instances. At first, ICO is accessible at a lower cost however as the business grows its market value and price value will also increase.

What is IDO?

The Initial DEX Offering, also known as an IDO is a brand new and exciting kind of permissionless and decentralized crowdfunding platform that is opening an entirely new avenue of raising funds in the cryptocurrency space.

If a project launches an IDO this means that the project has launched an IDO or coin through an uncentralized liquidity exchange. It is a kind of cryptocurrency asset exchange that is based upon a pool of liquidity, where traders exchange tokens, including stable and crypto coins. For instance, USDT/ETH is an exchange that is a liquidity pair.

IDOs are the successors to various crowdfunding models for crypto, such as the initial coin offering (ICOs) and security tokens (STOs) along with initial exchange offering (IEOs). Due to their mechanisms, which provide instant liquidity and superior liquidity at every price point, IDOs are an excellent option for projects that are new or startups who want to launch tokens and get access to funds quickly.

In an IDO , an IDO currency is issued through decentralized liquidity exchanges like Uniswap, Bancor, or Binance. Binance DEX hosted the first-ever IDO. They claim that the fundraising technique that allows protocols to be made available to traders that are not controlled by other people. An IDO is self-organized by anyone. Therefore, it doesn’t provide any guarantee or assurance because the issuer has control over the event. IDO is growing in popularity because more companies are looking into the possibility of using it to raise funds.

In contrast to these ways of fundraising, IDOs are generally considered an acceptable method to start the first cryptocurrency project. This is due to eliminating pre-mines and an issuance method that favors the project’s creators over other community members.

The first ICO that took place was the Mastercoin ICO in July 2013. In 2014 Ethereum was able to raise funds through an auction of tokens. It raised 3,700 BTC in the first twelve hours, which was roughly $2.3 million at the time.

The first IEO began trading on April 17 2019 via the major exchanges Idax, BitForex, Bit-Z, and Bit-M. In June of this year, Raven Protocol announced that it was launching IDO for the very first time and the IDO will be listed on the Binance DEX.
